Students direct their own learning.

The term “student-centered learning” carries an entirely different meaning at the Philly Free School, where students initiate all of their activities and create their own learning. The physical plant, the staff, and other resources exist for the students to use as their needs arise. The school is a place where students are independent, trusted, and treated as responsible enough to explore their own interests and engage in the complexities of life.
